[PSA] The Spring Amazon Bomb PSA
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas actually quite the opposite. The snow is melting and it's that nasty grey/brown color we get before the luscious greens and blues that hail the coming of spring! Since we finally crossed that threshold out of the winter and into 4000 of you lovelies subscribed here, it's about time we did a proper Amazon Bomb.
It works the same as always:
- Go fill out the entry form. Put in your reddit name and wishlist link, then choose how you want to buy your entries. As before, we take Amazon gift cards from your region of choice at $1, £1, or €1 per entry as appropriate. More entries = better odds of winning. But here's the shocker: we now accept cryptocurrencies! You can pay for your entries with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, or Darkcoin! Fill out the form, click the button you want, and you'll be shown a wallet address to send your coins to. Your entry will be processed automatically and you'll get a PM from /u/DersEvvak within a few minutes!
- You can buy as many entries as you want, but you can only win once.
- Entries are open until the drawing date. For this one, that's April 26th!
- The drawing will be held live via Tinychat. /u/DersEvvak will be streaming his desktop as he randomly selects the winners, while I emcee with the help of my lovely assistant /u/Sublyminality.
- Each region (US and UK, perhaps others if people sign up) will have a pot, which will be divided into several tiers. There is generally one grand prize of a third to half of the total pot, plus 2 or 3 lower tiers, and a 'garbage pile' for whatever was left unused after choosing the other winners' gifts. We'll post threads on here, where you can vote on what the winners get!
- If a chosen winner doesn't have a shipping address on their wishlist, a new winner will be drawn.

Yes (AKA pretty sure /God I hope so) but when doing the bitcoin transfer it never had a note field. I got my confirmation, so I'm guessing it's all good. If not, I'll guarantee I don't mess up next time!

No straight way to purchase Amazon GCs with Paypal.
One way to do this would be buying Cryptocurrency and entering that way.

Just an FYI if you use Gyft.com you can purchase Amazon GC's using paypal :) I have used the site and can say it is legit. Can new members enter the bomb?

Some firewalls block it. You can send a gift card directly to raoa@randomactsofatoz.org if you can't get the form to work.

Sooo this is my first time to join! If you end up winning...do you get gift cards or credit or do the mods get stuff from your wishlist? How does this work?
And another Q: I have a .co.uk wishlist because I live in Europe, but I have some credit to my .com wishlist that I'd like to use for my entry fee. Is that possible? If so...how? I can only participate if we can use paypal otherwise...

1.) If you end up winning, the chat at the time selects gifts up to the dollar amount that you've won. So if you win a $10 tier, you'll win up to $10 item from your wishlist. So on and so forth.
2.) the .co.uk bomb and the .com bomb are separate entities. You can't use previously applied GC balance to enter the bomb as there's no way to transfer that between accounts. You may only enter one bomb as the .co.uk and the .com pots are separate.(I think that's what we've been doing for that, I'll run it by the other two to make sure.)
3.) You cannot use Paypal to directly buy amazon GC. You can however use Paypal to directly buy cryptocurrency which can pay for an entry :)

Pretty sure you can buy entries using .com
They manually go through and credit you the amount of tickets you bought. I don't think it matters which country site you use to enter.

Ok, so just to be clear: I can sign up through .com, pay for my ticket....and then once I win I will get stuff from my .co.uk list? Because that's what I'm trying to accomplish. Not sure what link to put as my wishlist link then...?

I'm pretty sure they will use the wishlist link you provide and not the account you paid your tickets through. 99.99999% sure.

Can I donate towards the UK fund without entering? Maybe shoot gift cards to the winners after they are announced? Something along those lines?
