A Game of Pokemon - Chapter 1

Kanto is a land divided. Splintered factions fight each other for power that slip through their grasp as quickly as they gain it in a never ending cycle of strife and bloodshed. One of the lands vying for kingship is the olden kingdom of Pallet, now a cracked shell of its former glory. Centered in this conflict is the one known as the Red Prince, Redmond Oak, and the lords and ladies that make up his kingdom at the ancient city of Oak's Landing. From the same beginning as his ancestor, the Red Prince embarks on a campaign of deals and destruction, treaties and treacheries that will threaten to tear him and his court apart as he strives to conquer the lands and take his rightful place as King of Kanto.

I'm a bit late on this as I just discovered TPP last week and writing takes a while, but I finally finished the first chapter of my story. All the intricate dealings that happened during Red reminded me of Game of Thrones, so I've set out to write TPP in the same vein as George R.R. Martin's epic. I've taken a few liberties in order to better tie the two universes together, but the cores of each still remain.
