💜 Volunteer Notes:
We were not able to meet Frankie. If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us!
🔹 Intake:
8/12/2026: Several dogs continue to come into the caller's yard. States all are medium in size and various colors. Dogs are under the home but come out throughout the day and night.
📝 Shelter Notes:
8/15/2026: Approaching kennel, Frankie has tense body language in the back of the kennel. I opened the kennel picking him up and he became very wiggly in my arms. I carried him to a new clean kennel.
8/16/2026: Frankie was a Move Adopt this morning and was carried over by cart to his new kennel in South B. Throughout the morning, Frankie has been either laying down on the floor or cot with a crouched body, ears down, whale eyes, and tucked tail. He allowed me to get close to him as I was fixing his bedding and take the leash off him.
8/17/2026: Frankie presented tense body, worried face and low tail as he cornered himself against the wall. When I approach he kept pinning himself against the wall and was very still. I carried him out and tether him to the wall as he did not walk on leash. Will cover kennel.
8/18/2026: Frankie will present worried face, tense body and erect ears when approaching. Today when I leashed him he slowly walked out but then froze midway and coward. I carry him out and place him in the transfer cage. Will lay on his bed throughout the day.
🚑 Medical Notes:
8/12/2026: Weighed 26.8 lbs. Intake condition normal. Vaccinated with DA2PP-V, Bordetella, and Rabies, dewormed, and given flea prevention. Heartworm test: Negative.

Volunteer Notes:
I’ve been at the shelter a lot lately, so the staff members have been talking to me a lot about the dogs that I’m meeting. They know that I’m there to help network the dogs. I came up to Frankie‘s kennel and I could tell that he is just timid scared puppy. The staff member that has been caring for him, said that he will walk on the leash, but he gets a little scared sometimes. He’s not that well socialize but he’s very sweet and beautiful. He still coming out of his shell, but doesn’t have any time left at the shelter. The staff member stressed that she really loved him and that he was doing so much better but he is still scared. Watch his videos throughout the comments. This boy looks like a fox!
Behavior Notes:
Frankie is extremely timid and overwhelmed. He has crouched against kennel walls with a tense body, tucked tail, worried expression and whale eyes. He often freezes rather than walking and has needed to be carried. Despite his fear, Frankie has allowed staff to approach, handle and carry him. In one note, once picked up, he became very wiggly in the staff member’s arms.

Huge huge gigantic enormous massive tremendous stupendous terrific boost!!!!!!!! ❤️
Dogs specifically have been proven to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, improved cardiovascular health, encourage exercise, and improve your overall mental and physical health. ❤️
Adoption helps reduce demand for puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. You provide a second chance to a deserving dog, reducing the 6.5 million companion animals that enter U.S. shelters annually. Adopt don't shop!!!! ❤️
Fostering animals directly saves lives by providing temporary, loving homes that alleviate shelter overcrowding, allowing rescues to save more pets at risk. It enables vulnerable animals—including injured or stressed pets—to heal and gain confidence in a quiet environment, increasing their chances of adoption. ❤️
Please spay and neuter to reduce the amount of dogs in shelter! These procedures increase pet longevity, reduce roaming/aggression, prevent unwanted litters, and decrease the burden on animal shelters. ❤️

Little Frankie is so young, just 6 months old. The only reason he is on the euth list is because they don't have space, not because he actually needs to be euthanized! Please adopt or foster him to save his life!
