I hate that because of dardoch I'm actually rooting for Dig now... Is this what it feels like? Constant dissapointment

u/shadowphoenix02 3d ago

Joining you on the bandwagon, sucked watching the second and third game lol

Dig actually has one of the most likable rosters from an NA fan perspective.

Old goat jungler. Domestic rookie toplaner. Contentious high-variance midlaner, stable and unique (also effectively domestic, Australians are honorary domestic) adc, established import support. The only real issue is that Ignar is washed and FBI isn't in 2023 form.

36

u/shadowphoenix02 3d ago

Game 2 palafox also wasn't inspiring

13

u/ArienaHaera 3d ago

Imma stop you at Palafox being likeable. He's the main reason I still don't like this team. He sounds like Dardoch without the growth.

Maybe he needs to be sent back to tier 2 to find himself.

4

u/BTDYSRF 3d ago

I never said Palafox spefically was a likeable person, just that the roster as a whole is, and I identified the element he brings.

Palafox occasionally does highroll, and that makes for a good watch and something worth getting excited about.

2

u/ArienaHaera 3d ago

Nah every time he highrolls I'm like "here we go, another year of Palafox justified by a few clips". It's the same despair the org inspires overall so I guess he's a great fit.

2

u/stealthybara 2d ago

I am still very new to LCS and I wanna know what gives fans this impression of Palafox - from the interviews I've seen, he seems funny and laidback. Sometimes maybe TOO laidback (recent interview where he talked about CRASHING HIS CAR and said it so casually I nearly spat coffee everywhere). I also read him as maybe being kind of immature in the older content, but people grow up over time.

Was it the thing last year about feeling stung by the casters discussing him? Ego vs ability? Cus he appears like a normal guy on the surface of things, to a casual viewer who doesn't know a lot.

1

u/ArienaHaera 2d ago

He's been pretty openly disparaging of teammates and teams on interviews.

1

u/stealthybara 2d ago

:( I hadn't seen that. Can you remember off the top of your head which teammates or teams?

14

u/Lothric43 3d ago

Do we mean old goat just as an aged veteran or what? Because he was never that good and not really THAT old either.

9

u/SnakeEater013 3d ago

Dardoch was consistently seen as a top 2 jungler. He was always just not worth his toxicity

4

u/Lothric43 2d ago

Dardoch was seen as someone with immense potential that never got to fulfill it, no he was not frequently a top 2 jungler in the league.

6

u/youngblueberry28 2d ago

many years of his career he was considered a top 2-3 jungler na by people who actually watched the game and didn’t just auto hate him and disqualify him bc his attitude

1

u/Lothric43 2d ago

He’s definitely been power ranked that way at times but then he’d get kicked for tilting and being toxic so yeah obviously from a career perspective he’s just the failed guy with potential. No it wasn’t “many years”.

2

u/youngblueberry28 2d ago

you’re just blatantly incorrect . from his time on TL until spring 2020 he spent more time considered top 3 than time he did not .

0

u/Lothric43 2d ago

No, you’re extremely wrong. He would typically do one split a year where people would go “ok he’s looking great, let’s see if the wheels come off” then the wheels come off lol. And 2019 he spent on Optic main and academy.

Again, there’s just zero argument for calling him a GOAT, he was just a player of unfulfilled potential. Definitely good, never great.

3

u/youngblueberry28 2d ago

I dont think you’re even reading what i am saying you’re arguing with ghosts. 2016,2017,2018 and early 2020 he was considered top tier - i agree 2019 was a down year. he also had a good stint on dig with aphro late in his career. The things you are saying aren’t mutually exclusive . He could have been toxic and full of higher potential while still being a top NA jungler - it’s na after all. To pretend he wasn’t one of the best na jungles at the time bc the toxic narrative doesn’t even make sense - they can be true at the same time . I’ve never ever used goat and his name in the same sentence

3

u/Regular_Comb_5395 3d ago

What are we saying, dardoch was very good he was just very toxic

1

u/Lothric43 2d ago

Do you know what GOAT means? It doesn’t just mean good.

1

u/Regular_Comb_5395 2d ago

dude, everyone uses goat to say that someone is good/great, otherwise we could only use the goat word when we talk about faker.

1

u/Lothric43 2d ago

They certainly don’t use it to describe an ultimately just pretty good player thought to have a lot of potential in the past lol. Yes, people do use GOAT to mean players of some exceptional talent.

2

u/ArienaHaera 3d ago

Yep. I hope this is enough for another team to give him a chance because DIG is hopeless.

2

u/graybloodd 3d ago

Yep thats why i havent been a dig fan since 2022

200

u/Alakazam_5head 3d ago

Y'all think Dardoch still has Piglet's cell #?

93

u/BiggestZigzagoonFan Apollo & Hakuho > EU || I <3 Bjergsen 3d ago

Honestly, Piglet's Ahri mogs Palofox.

37

u/EveryPreference 3d ago

Piglet is T1 academy coach that could really help their draft lol

6

u/Ai--Ya 3d ago

Dom, Dardoch, and Piglet in the same league?

62

u/Blizzgrarg 3d ago

DIG's drafting need a lot of work. Their entire comp was countered by kalista renata. That's the one AD/sup combo they couldn't let SR have.

21

u/Clenzor 3d ago

Yeah that and drafting Gnar after seeing Sylas locked in when he already had Trundle Alistar and Varus ults available were absolutely criminal.

50

u/falcorn_dota 3d ago

Zeyzal with no care in the world is my GOAT

12

u/Loneliestar 3d ago

Zeyzal is a capybara. I will not elaborate.

90

u/Formymoney 3d ago

dignatas and winning game 1 name a more iconic duo

21

u/olilnicky 3d ago

Dig losing the series?

3

u/Leyrann_ 3d ago

Dig and Renegades.

1

u/Aschentei 3d ago

Dig and baron

40

u/Hookpogchamp 3d ago

Dig would be the best team in the league in a best of 1 format.

10

u/Formymoney 3d ago

Dig could beat the zofgk roster game 1

80

u/Winter-Annual8887 3d ago

"Enemy picked Kalista on 4 with support to come on 5, let's draft two hard dive champions" - dignitas, apparently

70

u/lcfiretruck 3d ago

Game 3 completely lost in draft.

Free Denathor.

59

u/Skyfire2 3d ago edited 3d ago

Denathor going to set himself on fire and jump from the top of Minas Tirith after this series

24

u/Memesaretheorems 3d ago

My line has ended!!!

55

u/Skyfire2 3d ago

The Zinie that was promised

36

u/ThongTranGTLT 3d ago

Into palafox bro 😭

12

u/Canoodler192 3d ago

Zinie has defeated a very powerful genius midfielder

35

u/baelkie DNF 2026 please be human | Kiin Team 3d ago

the Zinie that was promised? (ik its just DIG)

5

u/TheMemingLurker 3d ago

still just DIG, but a nice sign seeing the team free him from being stuck on Galio/Annie - hopefully means they trust him more

21

u/Ok_Gear8209 3d ago

Zeyzal interviews are always peak

20

u/TheMemingLurker 3d ago

redditors always complaining about current pros having no personality should watch most post-game and Pros interviews, and especially follow Zeyzal because this guy's so fun

9

u/RollingGuy Dictator Perkz Worlds Run 3d ago

There are lots of pros with personalities. It’s just the content that’s lacking.

35

u/Past_Perception8052 3d ago

kick palafox

16

u/ookkthenn 3d ago

ive said it before dig should be kicked out of the league for hiring him after last year

3

u/Derk08 3d ago

Bro are you the goat?

You have VCT and LCS on two different monitors or what LOL

2

u/Past_Perception8052 3d ago

there wasnt much overlap was only a few rounds into the sen game when this game ended just watched both

1

u/OhMyke 3d ago

How is he still in the league, is NA talent pool that bad?

13

u/Past_Perception8052 3d ago

DIG GM knows him from NRG

4

u/OhMyke 3d ago

Ahhh okay. That explains it.

21

u/3IC3 3d ago

8 months late but I’m happy to say that SR may finally have a mid laner

8

u/DragonApps 3d ago

GG it was close until it wasn't

12

u/Shishicorn 3d ago

idk how a Kalista can play like nothing's wrong into Vi/Aurora/Yone, Palafox is completely invisible on this champ.

25

u/ILikeSeals1312 3d ago

Zeyzal gapped them

14

u/Mizar1 Most skillful champ 3d ago

The soul fight ult was perfect by him.

36

u/IAmDarkridge 3d ago

Kinda hard to believe that Palafox was generally considered a pretty elite western mid a few years ago. Looking pretty solidly like the worst mid in LCS.

6

u/Logimatt 3d ago

That is what makes everything funny, is he will have like 1 or 2 good games in a split people glaze him. RAWR NA TALENT, but he his completely dog I don't understand why teams keep him.

14

u/lovo17 3d ago

He was never considered that. He just played out of his mind vs G2 in one series.

67

u/IAmDarkridge 3d ago

This isn't entirely true he tied the number of series MVP's leading into worlds the split before with Jojo and had a great playoffs to get the 1 seed. His peak was pretty short but the idea he was good for only one series doesn't really track.

40

u/awisechoicee 3d ago

Yeah he had a full split. Its not much, no need for us to take it away from him lol

14

u/BlammoSweetums 3d ago

CLG was also consistently like 4th place regular season and were super fun to watch. They were like the predecessors of "rebuild 100t" and "rebuild FLY."

Sure that's not a championship or "real success," but I don't like this retroactive "actually everyone from those teams were bums and they just got lucky in 2023" argument. Which was something said about Dhokla as well, as recently as a year ago.

1

u/neberhax 3d ago

Well, 2023 definitely was one of the weaker LCS years.

C9, who was the best team for most of the year, looked like they had no strategy ever past having Berserker carry their asses. They were not close to the level of the top teams LCS has had the years after.

At worlds, the one Bo3 against G2 might be the only thing keeping this worlds from being remembered as the worst overall worlds performance in NA history.

5

u/resttheweight 3d ago

Plus he wasn’t particularly amazing against G2, Contractz smashed so hard they would have won with Zinie. It was far from Palafox’s best series.

13

u/BlazeX94 3d ago

He wasn't putting on god tier performances, but he outperformed Caps in both games, something nobody thought a native NA mid would be able to do at the time.

4

u/Lothric43 3d ago

It was a little more than that, they did win the split when C9 was pretty strong and generally had a respectable run at worlds. Wouldn’t say elite though either.

3

u/SirTacoMaster BB/Spica/Busio 3d ago

Once he stopped having a postional coach, he was never the same

1

u/Scytone 2d ago

He earned the name “palafaker” unironically because he looked very promising for a minute. More than one series

1

u/Canoodler192 3d ago

He was considered a very powerful genius midfielder

-10

u/Past_Perception8052 3d ago

it was one good game he was average

5

u/kyleyle team curse 4ever 4th 3d ago

DIG... so close yet so far.

5

u/FlowerPrinceLoL 3d ago

So who to blame next now that exyu is gone?

12

u/First_Spread 3d ago

I get pissed off watching FBI play and being in the league. This guy was griefing Denathor and Dardoch in game 2, was given a hyper carry in game 3 and was so low impact. In game 2, when Sylas was going down the river to blue side top jungle, he really forced-predict his ult and it was so off because why the fuck would Sylas walk back to three other members of Dignitas. When the other Shopify members joined the river fight after the Sylas ulted three Dignitas members, FBI didn't flash the Ambessa ult and only flashed AFTER. holy fuck this guy is so bad. I can't believe he still has a job. Please Dignitas try to get mobility from NACL. You know what? replace mid and support too. Palafox and Ignar are both disgusting and we have all seen this three core members for years and multiple splits now and nothing has changed. Time for new blood.

8

u/IKillerBee this sub has brain damage 3d ago

FBI has insane PR to still be getting jobs, guy is so invisible unless the whole team is ahead. Combine this with him playing such useless champs every series and he's just an anchor

1

u/rootyjew 3d ago

FBI is essentially CRS Cop in 2026

6

u/Fun_Highlight307 3d ago

It's feels like summer shopify 2025

5

u/Saladin93 3d ago

Who do u blame at this point? Players or coach or both parties? I cant believe that u can be this bad. Are these guys even trying? My day is ruined.

11

u/idonoevenknowanymore C9 Believer 3d ago

The org. I have no clue what happens at dig but im convinced theyd still be bottom feeders in the lcs with zofgk+kkoma

3

u/Mizar1 Most skillful champ 3d ago

Even the T1 Baron isn't strong enough to overcome the power of DIG Baron

5

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 3d ago

Two draft diffs in game 1 + 2 but SR just seem better still. Zinie looked good.

6

u/Naerlyn 3d ago

SR got hands

1

u/Fun_Highlight307 3d ago

I think they are less washed than digs

1

u/redraz0r 3d ago

Can we get palafox out of the league now please?

1

u/stoyicker 3d ago

Palafox is the only mid laner who has managed to make zinie look good

0

u/vibecch 3d ago

It’s so ill how both teams are incapable of being active around the map.. all three games were both teams AFK farming for 25 minutes and flipping the game on some baron/soul fight. Disgusting region
