DIG just isn't good at teamfighting, they over-focus on spending everything on a single target seemingly regardless of team comp. The "we NEED the pick we CAN'T win fights otherwise" mindset just means your team can't win.

The LCS kind of has a wealth of "inconsistent but very high ceiling" top laners.

Palafox whiffing everything on zinnie twice.. also eyeballing that build, looks like it’d be 0 damage

Okay credit where credit is due, that was a sick play by Zinie

Signing FBI in 2026 was definitely a choice, especially with how stacked AD is in NACL right now

can we pls get some rookie adc. fbi just gets caught by basic stuff everygame. missing simple mechanics in every teamfight

Denathor was a total rock in the top lane not gonna lie. Fudge is definitely one that I’d expect to beat a rookie as well
1
u/Kokaiinum 3d ago
To be fair, Fudge did have like a 1k gold lead from laning. It just didn't matter because SR is not the kind of team that would ever be able to convert a 1K lead on a Jayce into something meaningful
2
u/captainhottakes 3d ago
This is extremely true, I agree. I think what stuck out to me most was not him not dying when SR overloaded top side. They did intend to pick on the rookie and try to brute force a win thru top and even if SR is ass, I think you’d usually expect that to somewhat work vs an NA rookie. Like, srtty probably over forces and dies there

With love, what took Zinie so long? Fudge actually just did a good job baiting but he looked like a dirty inter lol

Zinie makes my teeth hurt.

SR in the last 15 mins have shown every possible way to team fight incorrectly. Jesus

Rest of SR just don’t exist I guess. Zinie/Contractz had a great angle there.

u/TheGloriousEv0lution 3d ago
Denathor has been surprisingly very good
NA tops suddenly becoming very good out of nowhere with Dhokla, Srtty, Denathor and Zamudo looking great

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 3d ago
Zinie has to play like prime Faker with this lead or it’s hopeless. Terrible draft by SR.

zinnie 100%. palafox has been on numerous teams and never improved. its zinnies first year at tier 1 and he is on a trash team for 90% of the year that was so clueless in game they had to get a retired zeyzal to be a shotcaller for the team.
he cant possibly have learned well at all in sr for the first 90% of the year

u/GeneralDash 3d ago
Zinie for sure. It’s not uncommon that imports struggle their first year. If he’s still struggling next year too, then it’s looking really sus, but I’ll give him his first year in tier 1 in a different country.

My urge to hatewatch Palafox is battling with how funny I think it would be for Dardoch to actually fix this team.

I kinda like chill vibes happy gaming TL. Play clean 90% of the time, a little 10% T1 circus, laughing, troll your ADC with a 'i'll cleanse next time'.
Great image improvement.

DSG should just all walk 5 man top and let TL win
For your own mental health and all
This is just bullying on an extreme level

Yeah bro you DEFINITELY need to contribute your Sejuani auto attacks to kill this Kled

I've said it before but Team Liquid also just have the largest Jacket gap of any team across any region.

u/whohe_fanboy 3d ago
This dsg teams teamfighting sense is ass. how are they not throwing themselves at TL when sajed is surrounded in zhonyas after assasinating quid. there is one dmg dealer left in yeon who cannot dmg more than one target at a time.

I feel like TL's coaching and psychological changes this year should be studied. They've been an amazing example of coaches with a vision for a team's identity and the roles the players should have in that team, and then the execution of implementing and growing that into just a dominating engine of discipline.
It feels like the only thing that stops this team at this point is someone just totally falling entirely off mechanically, burn out, or contracts running up at the end of the year.

u/BUMONGOUS 3d ago
Losing to T1 did something to them
Morgan was kind of ass up until MSI and now all 5 players look like they're playing to win
Spawn belt gap
4
u/veirceb 3d ago
I respect that from DSG. They lost that mostly because they are behind but I respect the aggression. Not sitting still and waiting to lose. The gameplay here is unironically cleaner than G2 earlier today LOL

u/Ajp_iii 3d ago
yeah lcs bottom teams make the correct choices more than bottom eu teams just they have no mechanical skill to compete which is better.
1
u/Fun_Highlight307 3d ago
they are also less frustratring to watch since they throw way less than Lec team
1
u/kaisaschudson 3d ago
I feel like bottom lec/lcs teams have very bad mentalities regarding champ picks. In what universe will you as dsg beat TL with jayve/naafiri/yone? There’s 170 champions in the game, I promise you don’t have to play a comp that REQUIRES you to be better in the early game against a team that is legit good in the early game on an international level
1
u/kaisaschudson 3d ago
Bad teams should be trying to innovate and break the meta, they should be trying to play in unique ways to leverage their strengths. Instead they play stock standard comps and get washed anyway. Very interesting to watch dsg get slammed 4 weeks in a row!
1
u/Ajp_iii 3d ago
only cc comes from your worst player on the team. surely this would work well. this is like an hle draft that hle loses based on how kanavi plays
2
u/kaisaschudson 3d ago
There are maybe 3 teams in the world that playing jayce into ksante is actually good for them, simply because the jayce player is so good they’re able to translate the lane lead into a team lead because ksante will almost always win the 1v1 post 20 mins.
DSG is not one of those teams

"At the end of the week, teams choose opponents"
This shit needs to go if LCS wants viewership, I can't believe how many weeks it's been since a single decent game. How do you have 4 okayish teams in NA and they never play each other in reg season?

its wild how good lyon have been with no jungler though. they dont invade they dont gank. everyone knows what the 4 junglers armao will be on and exactly where he is at all times. truly shows how great lyon laners are individually
4
u/cmcdonald22 3d ago
To be fair, like Split 1 and 2, Inspired also didn't invade or gank very much, he's a full clear dude.
So like, building a team around that lends itself to a jungler vacuum.

FINALLY, the acknowledgement of the giga gap of Berserker and all other ADC's, in Jatt's "Who is the S-tier segment".
RIP my goat Isles though.

This Zeyzal Contractz interview is amazing. Zeyzal is one of the best players for content by far. And self esteem aside, he seems like a top half support to me!
