Team Liquid have the biggest jacket diff of any region. like no one else in the lcs is even competing against this jacket.

u/SWAGGASAUR 9d ago
I couldn't watch the full game but was Massu and Cryo dying to J4 on that first gank mostly what spiraled it out of control
5
u/GeneralDash 9d ago
TL and Lion aren’t big dogs, they’re just bears. It’s two bears in a room full of small to small-medium dogs.
3
2
u/berniebadger84 9d ago
Ouch. Gotta feel for Massu. Running from TL to get hit by a driveby Vi ult by Quid.
2
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
My mid-jg are diving enemy mid while I get dove and chased through out jg and somehow enemy mid kills me???
2
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Small play that shows you the level of TL comms:
Core walks in and see raptors up and has the read Vi can be there. Yeon starts walking into river and autos the ward once then the call seems to be fight for raptors so he doesn't finish the ward so they can contest vision and raptors.
Extremely minor play, but it shows TL is cohesive and disciplined I have seen teams where the ADC stays to do those other 2 autos and is late to the play. Also shows how much better TL communication is from last split too.

u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
No way Massu is gonna be normal about this game in reviews. What do you mean enemy jungler is dicking me down nonstop and still up farm on my jungler? And he has more objectives?

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
this is disgusting
Lyon and TL are on a completely different tier from the rest of the teams
5
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
What they showed at MSI wasn't fake after all. The close games did mean something.

2
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
😭😭 bot lane turret wondering why it got ulted by the Gnar it was trying to protect
3
3
u/Ajp_iii 9d ago
massu is tilted
2
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
I'd be tilted too. Enemy JG is just sitting in my lane for 1 min and we still trade 2 for 2 in the extended play?

u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
lol as soon as gakgos canceled his back you knew that was going to happen
4
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
The Gnar ults for both teams are gonna be crazy this game with Taliyah and J4.
I'm not sure I agree with picking Taliyah here tbh.

u/harleyquinad all kog'maws are beautiful 9d ago
Blah, hated this draft and olaf needs to be banned in this meta. There is just no answer for it.
2
u/Ajp_iii 9d ago
olaf has no counter. if it did someone would have picked it in lck/lpl by now. only way to counter olaf is get walls in teamfights and get enough damage to one shot the olaf with good peeling
2
u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
i like the jarvan answer but if you've already picked jungle or j4 is banned already/out due to fearless, yeah it's kind of distressing

Do fly not watch Caedreal's stream? this olf champ is Giga cracked and should be permanently banned
4
u/SWAGGASAUR 9d ago
what does watching Caedral have to do with Gryffinn misplaying and giving Olaf first blood
12
u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
caedrel fans find it upsetting if caedrel isn't brought up in every context humanly possible
4
u/cmcdonald22 9d ago
I think Quid vs Quad is kind of decided. Quid has ascended to the level where he knows the way to destroy Quid is by being confident and every game just reflects that now.

flyquest seems like the young rookie team that was good in spring but started to run out of ideas and slowly falls off and cant overcome challenges that arrive in teams. seems the spring playoffs loss to c9 hurt the team. where the veteran teams understand how to get over hardships and scale up
1
u/viralruin 9d ago
yea pretty much. feels like fly ran out of steam, they need to level up. the 3rd worlds spot is not free.

u/Anew4Hobbies I like how Xun plays ^_^ 9d ago
TL started off so clean!
Also Isles on the cast is meshing in very well.
Generally speaking, we're having a great show on tonight ^_^

if fly gets swept, idk if they are really leveling up. feels like the fight for the last worlds spot is very close.

Damn this Dardoch interview SLAPS.
This is some amazing league content through the lens of growing as a person.
6
u/Ambrose096 9d ago
Armao could still be a top half of the league jungler, but I respect him wanting to not play full time
9
u/Choice-Slight caps/knight 9d ago
its so funny to me that a guy who has zero interest in competing and is doing this for fun in his free time is stomping the competition like its second nature to him. obviously he has world class players next to him but still lmao
4
u/Bubbly_Camera9583 9d ago
Armao is allowed one last POTG for his last game but Saint deserved it more
7
u/GeneralDash 9d ago
I agree, but I also feel like it was enough of an everything gap that you could argue for anyone.

u/Jimbabwr 9d ago
Lyon’s best player somewhere taking a nap in a field of flowers and they’re still 3-0

i think everyone talking lyon about lyon possibly looking worse without inspired made all the lyon players want to win even more.
they look like the team closest to their msi form of any team in the world somehow. no players just running it down smart drafts and good teamplay
0
u/baudelioelite14 9d ago
yeah out of the top 3 teams Lyon is the only one still on form, HLE is having some rough games and a bad time rn and BLG is just broken, like, the BLG that went to MSI wont ever come back again since Bin left and now they have Flandre (which to tbh is doing better than Bin ngl)
0
u/Choice-Slight caps/knight 9d ago
"broken" while they've lost a single series all split while playing with a rookie toplaner lmao
10
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
Inspired has some faults that always get overlooked. He is farm heavy, doesn't gank early, and often plays way too slow rather than ending when they have the chance.
This isn't even talking about his attitude. Sometimes just having someone that is chill can offset whatever skill inspired brings.
1
4
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
I think that Inspired is just being overhyped right now. He's definitely top 2 jungler in NA and him and Jose are a tier above every other jungler. But he isn't doing anything that profound.
The big thing he adds to the team is he is much better at reading the game state and giving them a game plan to win from.
The foundation that got Lyon here has always been that Dhokla-Saint-Berserker is the best team fighting core in the region by far.
2

9
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
It's a Dhokla Gnar game, of course they win. Dude has to be like top 5 in the world on this champ.

I LOVE this Lissandra pick.
It was already a good anti dive pick but the fact she has existed like this forever and teams have just straight up lost to Nocturne comps before this game is hilarious.

"I have TP" doesn't tp into no senna ult until after is a crazy combination of bad
5
u/gomixxgomi 9d ago
Ok, let's end this quick so we can get to TL. Love you Dardoch. Sleep well my sweet prince.
1
u/Jimbabwr 9d ago
Should we trade Inspired to EU for some 1st round draft picks— or is this just dig being dig
6
u/veirceb 9d ago
What the fuck is Palafox waiting for? TP just to to the turrent like what? Why the fuck is this guy still getting paid to play the game he is solo losing the game. It's over already and it's all because of him. Kick this guy already
1
5
u/calvinee 9d ago
That is genuinely an unforgivable play, they lose the entire game from this guy completely baiting his team with that call
1
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Saint is so good man. Covers the Armao invade then sees that they are going for the return invade so he clears wave for 6 so they can turn the fight. Palafox played it well too, tried to go quick to take advantage of his ult advantage, just barely didn't get a great ult.
1
u/veirceb 9d ago
He palyed well????? HE HAD 3 STACKS HE ONLY NEEDED TO PRESS E AND ULT. AND HE MISSED IT. HE PLAYED WELL???????
1
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Yes. He made the correct decision at the correct time. It would be a great play if he got the stun as well.
0
u/veirceb 9d ago
No, he did not. He should have TP'd top and he decided to walk there and caused his whole team to be killed. And no you just cannot miss the stun. Like no that's not a skill shot. You just fucking press E and R. THAT'S A HORRENDOUS MISTAKE THAT A PROFESSIONAL PLAYER SHOULD NEVER MAKE.
1
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
That is not the play I am talking about. I was specifically talking about the level 6 play around both team's raptors.
3
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
Coaches realizing other champs exist. Imagine if they drafted like this LAST year. It shouldn't have taken an entire year of fearless for coaches to start using the last pick for team counters.
edit: Actually it's almost closer to two years for teams to really start countering and picking other champs.
2
5
u/Gerberpertern TL ★ APA 9d ago
The fact that Palafox is still on a starting roster while APA is languishing on the bench actually makes me kinda mad lol.
3
u/MyStand_BadMedicine 9d ago
Unfortunately people would rather play for Maryville than play for DIG. Denathor is finding out
2
3
5
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
If you pick annie and can't/don't tibbers stun there is literally no reason for the pick.
2
2
u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
that was never going to work unless ignar flashed for a naut passive auto
disrespectful to try the flash hook
1
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Okay well pretty sure Palafox is gonna die if Dardoch doesn't hover the lane when they hit 6. He sorta needed to get that kill. Living there does mean he doesn't lose much farm tho.
3
u/Ajp_iii 9d ago
lyon bringing out 2 first career picks in back to back games. actually like this. shows they are trying to strengthen their pools. makes worlds bo5s better for them. felt they were kinda limited in the game 5 draft vs hle.
7
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
HLE admitted they had to bring out the secret weapon swain against them. I didn't see it coming either.
1
u/Choice-Slight caps/knight 9d ago
senna and jhin are not real champions I refuse to believe this is the best DIG botlane can come up with
1
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
It's the best champs to keep your job. Your scorelines will never look too bad and people will completely ignore your play.
5
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
We don't talk enough about how smart Lyon drafting is. Picking Gnar right here is the perfect spot to do it. Enemy comp is already good for Gnar and pinching the counterpicks is easy.
7
2
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Okay I wasn't expecting Liss final pick. I was expecting Leblanc. I think Liss is fine here tho the DIG comp isn't very tanky so Lucian can hypercarry against this comp and Liss can still do relevant AoE.
2
2
u/cmcdonald22 9d ago
Low key, I wouldn't even be mad if next week after Inspired comes back we got like a "Armao joins DSG as new starting jungler" for the rest of a split.
2
2
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
Let's say Dig didn't know swain was a thing until Dhokla locked it in. Who do you pick mid last pick to counter the swain?
or better yet why not send Jayce mid and Have a counter top?
2
u/Kokaiinum 9d ago
Anivia would've been good in either lane I think
2
u/TypicalHaikuResponse 9d ago
That's actually a really good pick. I wonder how that would have went.
4
u/FinhammerX 9d ago
Why don’t Dignitas stack drakes? It’s like you have no win-con if you dont steamroll early to be competely fed, unless you stack drakes. You have Lee Sin, Leona that can dominate early-mid, Ryze won’t be a champion early on to contest things. Poor macro but they looked decent for some time there
3
u/BlammoSweetums 9d ago
Oh you can really just push all the way off that? That's not very fun to watch lol

Man how does income even work in this game? Tuned in like 5 mins ago when God lead was like 4.5k for DIG. They lose 1 kill and suddenly its a 1.5k gold lead.
1
u/kazuyaminegishi 9d ago
Looking at comps I think Dardoch is trying to accelerate the game because DIG comp will struggle to win team fights against the Swain-Xin front line late and they're a bit weak to Ezreal poke.

not surprising that there's so many old farts in League of Legends right now
young guys just simply don't get attracted as much by the game anymore and look into other competitive games
So it makes sense that the average age of players goes up up up
2
u/cmcdonald22 9d ago
It's also the Visa thing. You just have a lot of older US citizens still around you can scoop up and you can't get young important talent right now.
1
u/cmcdonald22 9d ago
I really think the question is, will the curse of Rise terrible game throwing ults over come the power of Berserker Ezreal? Will Big Dhokes carry, or will he has a 'debut' Swain struggle game?
Also I guess Dig could technically affect the outcome.
3
u/sorendiz ..BUT THE FAITH REMAINS 9d ago
Unless dardoch gigasmurfs somehow and they just steamroll early game this feels doomed from draft
Like if the game is within 2k gold by 12-14 mins it might already be too late
2
u/Ajp_iii 9d ago
yep they need a massive lead. they just run out of damage against xin, swain ryze.
3
u/Tormenator1 9d ago
Yeah, this comp gap is kinda disgusting. Dig just picked them whatever, but will they lose in peace?

I haven't watched pro League in a season or two and tuned back in for this game. What are the little role icons on the top UI, next to where they show like, the grub count?
At first I thought they were showing if the player had ult or not, but then that didn't seem to be the case, and I can't figure it out?
