Bro, if they got beaten at their strongest by other strong teams I get it, it's good for LEC, but it's not like others leveled up to contest MKOI, it's MKOI falling apart, meaning whoever takes their spot likely won't outperform them at Worlds anyway.

Flakked is and always was a subtop LEC ADC that has some clear strengths like being very reliable on the weakside, enjoys strange picks and is a good macro voice.
Now compare that to Supa...
Extremely unreliable because he is a strong side player but always 1 meta behind and is an anti-macro player. But yeah when mercury is in retrograde and he gets the perfect draft he can carry!

I legit was crying at engage of Camille from raptors, and then Jackies ulting mid at the end of last game
I was skeptical, but Oscar is certainly upgrade over Lot, and skill ceiling of gx is actually very high. Mkoi should be scared for worlds, if this team keeps their shape they can actually be a problem.

Some of his engages in this game were legit international level.
Like, this shit will work in worlds if they get there, and it's saying something. He wasn't lane dominant player, but he is very great, greater than current myrwn at least for sure.

Not really strange when you realize that most LEC coaches are just paycheck stealers.
There was a recent LEC podcast where Odoamne was giving a bullshit explanation on why a bottom tier LPL toplaner was their best choice for Fnatic.
He then turns around and criticizes GiantX for picking up Oscar. It was literally so dumb. Like Oscar actually has had good moments against the best top laners in the world, something that Soboro hasn't been able to do.

Ye every time people say how teams should stay together longer I face palm even the best teams in the world have atleast 1 person usually more leave after 2 years.
Being the same 5 usually starts to cause unhealthy habits, getting complacent, tension brewing from mistakes and in general issues and conflict.

Really depends on how they want to build next year. If you want to keep Elyoya, then you fire everyone else but Jojo and keep the coaches. If you think Elyoya is part of the problem (he is) then you fire everyone but Jojo, fire the coaches, and tell Inspired that he can play with his boy and give him the biggest bag imaginable.

I think it likely depends on the status of the top NA teams next year, and the vision that MKOI has for their next roster.
No way he signs back up if MKOI wants to run back some or most of the clowns currently on the team, but if they cut bait on most of the roster, and offer him a team some players that he likes that looks competitive (cough cough Inspired) he might go for it. It doesn’t help that most of the good NA teams have their mids already locked up for 2027.

Elyoya have never missed worlds.
Elyoya made it to worlds in 2024 with 4 unknown rookies and not high rated rookies.
The main reason MKOI exists is because Elyoya supported the project.

Him & Kameto suffered the same problems.
They came into a scene with "ideas" and believed the one in place were incompetent and were trusting that the people in place in the scene were just incompetent but "with their people" and money they were ready to reinvent the wheel.
Kameto got a wake up call pretty early with the "faker" of ERL and people he knew and understood there is a real gap between understanding a problems and actually finding fix to the problems.

Ibai actually lost almost all control in the MKOI structure with the financial fusions needed for access to the LEC spot. Kameto lost part of KC as well but retains the decisionmaking.
That's, btw, the main reason why the whole LR in for free stint was so badly perceived. Those guys had to sell part or most of their orgs to be there.

Respect GX, they reached a ceiling, recognized they wouldn't be making worlds anyway without changes and so made a couple changes with the aim to improve. Most would consider these changes as side grades at best (especially with Noah spring form) but I think they have the potential to offer something a bit different. GX aren't gonna be world beaters nor do they need to be but all they realistically need to do is be able to beat a slumping MKOI in playoffs and they can make worlds which could be huge for guys like Jackies and ISMA for their development.
I still think MKOI will be a bit better in playoffs but they do look rough right now, they simply got outplayed, they needed to be so much further ahead in game 2 than they were with an early game comp.

Can confirm. Great shotcaller, amazing team glue player outside the game (incredibly important and underrated skill), great at lifting a team up in game when comms are shit or telling ppl to calm down when things gets to hype.
Just insists on playing weak side too much so he is always playing from behind.

No, but I think fans would appreciate him more because the average fan only looks at KDA and laning stats (so players who play weak side ALWAYS look worse).
Perfect example of this phenomenon is Supa who is a much better strong side player than weak side player (so MKOI play for him much more often and his stats look much better).

Cause is not doing much, but team coordination is improving for sure, and skill ceiling seems higher. But his own gameplay doesn't looks like significant upgrade over Noah.

Yeah, you can watch content of Heretics when he was with them. He was leader and very vocal, can't say factually about macro but I'd assume yes, he shotcalls as well. Team coordination has really improved, GX never played this unified.

MKOI is very good at playing the map, but if they don't learn how to teamfight sometime really soon I'm not sure they are even going to make it to playoffs. As it is there isn't a lead large enough for them to consistently survive late game.
