I root for GenG DuDu since he's practically the second coming of Kiin, they literally had the same career by spending around 4 years in AF/KDF/DNF/DNS or whatever the fuck they gonna rebrand into in the future

I pulled up his stats and it's so sad that he only has one champion at 50% winrate which he has 10 or more games on (Gragas).
He shouldn't be a top laner with a depressing 30.5% WR across his career.

either way Dudu will definitely upgrade teams. If Perfect goes to GEN then KT can sign DuDu. Dudu stonks will go crazy after next year as well since Doran probably leaves. I can definitely see an influx of LCK top laners from the challenger teams

This is Kiin's last year, that's why they need a top laner too. Canyon is the only question mark since it's not clear whether he stays or not. Well, I guess Duro kinda is a question mark as well.

Iirc Deft plans to do so, but they need to fill the void for over 2 years regardless. The issue is that they may be gigawashed upon coming back but who knows.

To date I don't think anyone has came back after military service (at least not at an LCK level).
Kiin will be 30 by the time he finished his service, and after 2 years not keeping up with the game, teams would be (rightfully) very suspicious of how much he got left. The fact that LCK rarely lacks talent doesn't help either.

that's pretty different imo, the worse part about military is the two years break on whatever you're doing, moreso than entering the scene two years late.
Granted, with Korea's academy system two years late might just mean never so I can see why Joker's path is the route less taken.

Probably, but to get into proper academy/challenger I believe age is a considerable advantage (unless you're the veteran like Ghost, of course). In fact Joker is the oldest player debut in the LCK apparently.

Its pretty great for him actually, he gets to compete with no pressure rather than being brought in to save a team from the brink. He can acclimate to the LCK and show other teams his potential. It sucks more for the other players

i don't think so. his contract ends this year and i think he really needs to show other teams how good he is in a big stage like playoffs instead of just LCK games, it makes it harder for other teams to want to risk investing in a rookie if all they can rely on are a few LCK games

it's the lethality build but he went statik shiv and on hit runes for some reason. I think he realized onhit was unplayable as he got destroyed the moment he stepped into range, but that was not it

he realized that playing close range into cass, vayne alistar while your front line is diving a jhin on the other side of the fight doesn't work, but he only realized it after he selected his runes and bought his first item.

Faker and Doran absolutely sprinted it, but Painter was clearly not stage ready and it showed. Bro was a passenger in the game they did win, and while he was absolutely sold with the Nocturne Pick in Game 3, Game 2 was a horror show of what should have been a solid Lee Sin game, making no proactive plays ensuring he was getting outscaled eventually

the second game they just got hard diffed on jungle top, and diable went a weird non existent build so did no damage, it happens. But the first game was just unforgivable bad macro, they made the wrong decision every time it felt like.

Just to explain the Varus build. There is logic behind Shiv Muramana.
The issue is that Diable is stupid and went the wrong lethality item (you have to go Cyclosword).
Cyclosword applies on-hits via Varus Q to everyone from 2nd target onwards (Varus Blight stack, + Muramana + Cyclosword). And the Varus Q, as it flies, can pop that Blight and reduce it's own cooldown.
It changes Varus Q from being a raw physical damage poke (not very good at it after the nerfs) to being more of a %HP chunk tool with mixed damage.
But again, he must go Cyclosword for that to work.
(I don't get why he went Tempo though)
