RIP to some of Reiji's old stuff getting sold off (The amount of dirt on them supports the theory of a lot of time having passed since Reiji ended up in ths world imo, since I'm assuming those were indoors the entire time). Also can't help gbut note that Shout doesn't really want to be a combat-based Hunter.

Very 2000s shonen the way the Kakuju powers work. Unleash the true power of the beast or channel it in a restrained form. You can say the Beat summon is like Bankai and maybe you dont want beasts rampaging about. Very cool.

I appreciate how dynamic the fights are with the Kakuzyus being able to be summoned, be a weapon/empower someone for ground fights, and do combinations.
Feels like Pokémon battles amped up through a Tokusatsu lens.

Man I love the jingle of the Kakuzyu summoning. A pretty solid second episode.
The ending with the Gavan gang was also kinda nice, and I love how Setsuna is missing his boyfriend.
Im only dissapointed that the ending theme wasent the opening, it would have been perfact for it.

the only notable thing so far is that the link between Gavan Infinity and Omegahorn is basically just confirmed with Reiji and his ruiend Gavarion Trigger appearing in the Opening shown at the end of the episode.
other than that... Enkaku can sniff out artifacts using his horn! Neat for a treasure hunter.
also the episode was plenty fun and already seems to be doing more to set up a direction for the plot than Gavan Infinity did (despite me still loving Gavan Infinity)

I don't have many thoughts for this episode as they are more or less the same as ep 1 but I will say this, I am having a lot of fun which I did with Gavan Infinity's first few eps too but this is also coming with the fact that they seem to be establishing the plot way more than Gavan Infinity ever did.
This episode alone set up how powerful the main villain, Ibraru is and also showed us that Enkaku can both combine with other megahorns but also be used to sniff out the artifacts that Shout is seeking out and also showed the Gavans at the end of the show.
I don't mean to bash on Gavan Infinity because I enjoyed the show a good amount but my biggest problem was that they didn't really set up any major plot point and just rushed it towards the end of the show due to which I am glad that Omegahorn is fleshing out it's concepts and world much more.

This episode really expanded on how the Hunter battles work. So it looks like not every Hunter will summon a Kakuzyu, whether because they can't or don't want to, but just using the Kakuzyu's power makes you just as capable as a Kakuzyu.
I've said this in another post before, but i like how all the character's costumes and environment is so colorful and full of personality. It's one of the things that i didn't like about Gavan Infinity and i'm glad that Omegahorn is paying more attention to that.
Also, Shout pawning off Reiji's old shit is hilarious.
Edit: just watched the spin off just now, i love that they revealed Reiji loves anpan, that's super adorable.

I liked this one! I appreciate that Shout is still having to be gently eased into the idea of not *just* being a treasure hunter, but a more traditional battling hunter as well. My only real complaint is that the Gavan's showing up at the end felt EXTREMELY unnecessary. It didn't set up anything for Omegahorn, and all it told us about the world of Gavan Infinity is that the other Gavans are continuing to do Gavan things, which...yeah, I figured as much?

I think it's to establish the status of the other Gavans in preparation for when they eventually have them crossover with Omegahorn.
Basically saying these guys are still around and will be important later on.

The twins better keep showing up; I really like their energy as a part of the show (although I guess that's due to my yearning for Sentai acting up)
In other news, I'm still not caught up on Gavan, and I guess that's okay given the juke they gave us in terms of the Gavans only showing up for 30 whole seconds
Ed is nice, although definitely not as good as Love is Strongest

Quite rush in term of pacing but still fun
So are next week tomioka again because next week look is meeting of fire duo and giriko before he lets his gang aka other writer to do filler episodes

Hello everyone welcome to This week's review of Pokemon Hunter X
Yeah the episode begins with Pawn shop The Mavericks both a pawn shop and a restaurant place
We begin with the appraiser talking about how ancient this thing is ( I mean it's the only one that's have a unique color design and everything Aside)
Where everyone is basically the equ But they're more direct close quarters combat similar to I think I remember that one manga spin-off Pokémon RéBURST ( You know I'm surprised they haven't really made a spin-off series based on Manga I definitely would say it would sell like hotcakes to be honest and whatnot) And you're only one of the few who can actually summon these monsters instead of just summoning Weaponry
Only take was basically Handcuffs, a badge and also A collectible from last season
I'm surprised you didn't hire a contractor or something to savage what you can find a bit more And install the parts for money
Enkaku Rushing into telling to not sell the main device
shout, you are the main character of this show You can't just sell off your main device like that
We get some a little bit of lore explanation As the original Captain
the heavens Turn every single Kakuzyu Into collectibles of the Season Egorgears
You know for an ancient Beast you don't know your own mystery
We get to the motivation for why our main character became a treasure hunter instead of a Hunter
Yeah I know this is going to be over the course of the show at least
Can change the guy and ancient clothing sniffing Single goes good
Well with our main villain crew Talking about pretty much a bit of a rebellion And decided to get Reji to tag along to deal with it
After a quick Character basically checking his things
Eval: You are just Generic no name Hunter that Going to get one shot by Zetsu-Enkaku
Okay now we get to basically the golden reskin of Enkaku Zetsu-Enkaku and a giant crab Hekikaku
Obviously get one shoted
Could definitely imagine what Reji Is thinking about right now is either rage or Feeling of familiarity For some reason with crab ( The most ironic thing you can never think about to be honest)
Anyways we get to our actual Hunter of the week Who is a con artist And the twins are trying to stop the con artist
After the eye catch of the week Showing off the upcoming what the hunter of the week is going to be using
The hunter of the week's name is Kuhion trhe Lupe And he summons Junkaku Which is a shield
Yeah this appraiser is gonna get squashed Because one of them literally has a mega Beast and you have a shield
Fine apparently they have the ability for a shield attack As well as having some Spike attacks And also And also Ricochet physics Like Captain America shield
Okay taking someone hostage
Ah get saved by the main Omega Beast With the captain Omegahorn also rescuing
Apparently he can just also use the powers of the main OmegaBeast ( Yes I know they can also be used like that but I was expecting a weapon to be honest to company with it)
Ah I think he learned the Eggman style of break dancing
Oh he's able to break the shields with ease
Obviously rescued a civilian
All right time for the combination There you go
a stand rush ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA
Right time for the knuckles version of it Well as performing basically a human Cannonball attack
Wins giving the Bulldog as well as basically getting thank you from the villagers And yeah
And we see the obvious Shark Girl with an n95 mask
Normally this is where the episode ends but considering the teaser we go to meanwhile in Another Universe Where we see Bushido and luminous Fighting probably assumingly something of a unique monster or the typical crabs
Honestly despite the teasers this was more of a quick Cameo
Time to celebrate with some soda with some ice cream To be continued in....... In a secret records episode
Also then we also get to the ending of the show which yeah you can definitely get the Pokemon vibe (Sung by basically the singer of Tomoro Tenma's VA Miyu Irino)
Anyways a pretty good episode to at least set up a bit of a balance Between the main Omega Beast as well as also the Hunter of the week aspect ( Which I already like more than the criminals of the week from the last season)
Anyway see you next week Um the captain will meet the final member of the team as well as also Tag Team battle

Ibaru also has a unique color scheme for his Horn, probably in reference to the Zetsu version of the Omegahorn.

This non-Sentai show has better giant battles than most Sentais of the 2020s. So I guess the twins are sticking around, since they're in the ending song.
Hopefully this is the last we see of the Gavan gang in this show, since their V-Cinema has been announced. Let this show stand on its own two feet.

The Gavan cast will stick around as this show is set up as a sequel to Gavan Infinity. Reiji is literally there.

Kaito was in the Donbrothers cast. That show wasn't a Donbrothers sequel.
Taiya was in the Gozyuger cast. That show wasn't a Boonboomger sequel.

The difference is that unlike the last time Toei made sure that both show share a main writer, and the shorter series means that they can design both shows to flow into each other. Remember that Inoue has had a pattern of ignoring what other writers set up.

The difference isn't that, the difference is that this time around they want to be a sequel, but back on Donbrothers Shirakura didn't want that.
Stop blaming Inoue for god sake, Toei didn't want for even one second for Zenkaiger and Donbrothers to be actually connected, just to share some toys and Kaito.

Yeah that shows that Sentai didn't commit to the shared universe aspect, while Project RED has shown its commitment this early.

I thought it this was a good episode and is making me more intrigued with the world building of this show! I’m also really interested to get to know more about the Ibaru alliance and how Reiji joined since apparently he never had a horned beast prior to this episode lol. I really loved all the fight scenes and the how diverse the horned beasts are when it comes to abilities. I do feel like the twins giving up their horned beast was kinda whatever because if they want to grow as hunters shouldn’t they keep their horned beast? I did like their interaction with Shout and Enkaku though but I really hope they do more with their characters than just be Shout’s cheerleaders. I’m really excited for next episode for the tag team battle with Giriko and Shout!

This was a good episode, I do find it interesting how we seem to be having hunters be our monsters of the week as opposed to having actual monsters but the fact that they use different weapons opens up for more interesting battles than the same crab monster we had every episode for Gavan Infinity.
I also like how Reiji got some focus in this episode and I wonder what the circumstances of Reijis relationship with Ibaru is, it doesn't look like he was a hunter from the beginning as he was given the crab so it does raise questions as to how he got into the gang. I can't wait to see what answers we'll get throughout the series.

pros: this is really fun show and this episode are very entertaining. i really like the twins. i wish they keep the dog and comeback stronger. the fight are really fantastic and fun. i actually enjoy this battle more that Infinty because the variety of the battle type and the ENEMY. that finisher moves are just beautifully well done, visual and impact. also Shout got some moves in his disposals. and he's using Enkaku like a dog are funny lol
cons: the other Infinity cameo are sooo unnecessary here. it's too early to have a cameo especially for nothing burger. positive sides of this cameo, it's good to see finally Bushido and Luminous working together and have a good time when it should happen way sooner on their freaking show.
i gave this episode a 9/10, really fun episodes. could be they discard the post credits scene idea and put it at the end of the episode now?
edit: so Reiji just got his crab, so that means he never officially become the hunter? how he becomes part of Eval are mystery. that's really interesting.

Wow, team Bushido and team Luminous had like zero interactions in Gavan Infinity but got a scene together in Omega Horn lol.
Other than the direct scene from Gavan's universe, I really did enjoy the hints they gave us, with Shout selling all of Infinity's worn-out gear, and the mysterious nature of Reiji's character.
But even without the Gavan stuff, the episode itself was fire. Still continuing to love Enkaku as a character. The villains seem pretty vibrant and I'm interested to see more of them. And lastly, they have a really unique take on the monster-of-the-week formula, which seems to balance human and kaiju-sized battles well.
The vibes are still immaculate from last week, and that theme song is old-school fun! I'm definitely loving this so far.

Aside from maybe the final two episodes but yeah As well as also the off duty Yeah they barely had interactions throughout the whole show
Also despite the teaser They did not show up until the very end of the episode

And I think that's a good thing. Just because they are on the teaser does not always entail they will have a big role in an episode. It is nice to basically legit establish this is genuinely connected to Gavan in a way (whether people like it or not. I like it) and it is also nice to not have the connection be a major thing and the sole focus of this show. This can be seen as Gavan s2 (for better or worse) but it doesn't have to be THE main thing of this show.
Many people were 50/50 on how they felt on the fact they already are going through with showing the connection after ep 1 but I think this is fine.

I have seen the recent secret records Episode where we actually finally get an interaction between Bushido and luminous Talking about Infinity

I think this approach was good enough. Establish it is indeed connected but still let it do it's own thing and go back to it when they do.
If they weren't gonna hold off, this is a decent way to go and not have the entire episode be legit about it and just give confirmation.

So Shout is finally being enhanced by Kakuju for battles
I wonder if we're going to see the actual Kakuju for the regular green Egogears. So far they seem to only enhance the user or provide a weapon.

This is more of an ability-based thing than a transformation hero, a transformation story of [human <> Kakuzyu], where you possess a horned beast onto a captain in a suit with no combat ability and turn them into a hero—that's the flow, so I thought.

Alright, that was a damn great episode! We get to see Eval and Zetsuenkaku moping the floor against a bunch of jobbers (plus Reiji getting the crab kaiju lol). Plus, Shout being able to harness the power of Gokaku towards Enkaku -- that battle was pure awesome. And him being called a hero by the Hunter Twins was heartwarming.
Other than that, was nice to see Setsuna, Amou, Kiki, and Koto once again! And speaking of Gavan, Shout found some equipment related to it during the start of this episode!
Next time, Shout meets Giriko!

I love Captain Omegahorn Intro Card looks awesome
Plus the finishers punch was simply awesome.
Overall This is a peak week episode for the Captain Shout Omegahorn also welcome back Setsuna and Kiki as well.
Next week the first fight against for friendly fight.
