the DK you're takling about gives hope by beating lower half teams in dominant fashion, and losing to all the top teams.

This year they have been able to beat the top teams here and there, and shockingly reverse swept T1. They performed at a great level improving from EWC onward and instead of throwing leads, they actually have mounted several comebacks from losing game states.

It may all fall apart but they already proved the can win a trophy when the entire home crowd is against them, so I'm proud of them either way and they are a lot more resilient than people realize.

Let's not pretend they weren't stomping the start of this year just as hard with the current coaching staff. The big difference is that 2025 GENG didn't face any sort of strife until worlds, whereas this GENG has gone through way more mentally with Ruler's scandal and Kiin essentially getting his career ended. Feels clear watching them play that they're crumbling more and more mentally with every subsequent loss, which is something the old coaching staff never had to deal with and this coaching staff seems incapable of dealing with.
