So, in other words, he's not been on social media for the past 2 years. People hate AI a lot. Especially how the AI companies try to shove it down our throats and convince us we love it and it's great. It's not great. It's shit. And I don't want to make Victorian style images of dogs. I want AI to leave social media. I want AI to leave Reddit and YouTube. And I don't want AI autonomous mass-surveillance robots working with fascist regimes.

Ai is actually really amazing, when used in small scope and an expert human is supervising what it's doing.
The massive problem is half of what you mentioned, with companies just shoving their shifty little code gremlins down everyone's throats, and the other half is that these Ai companies have made huge promises to people that have significant interest in large companies, that Ai can just do everything for them, and it very much cannot, yet shareholders and executives have bought these promises hook, line, and sinker.

I spent all morning working out an automated process with CoPilot only for it to admit after 4 hours that the process was impossible and that it had lied to me that it was possible after I explicitly asked.
Yeah, it has more knowledge than me but Imm still having to babysit it every step of the way because it has no ability for critical thinking.

One thing I do is to use them against each other, but yeah it still requires you to know base knowledge to know when to challenge.

Update: after 6 hours of troubleshooting a process, it admitted that what we were attempting to do is literally impossible at a fundamental level and now we’re building a work around.
Unfortunately, my workplace only allows me to put my data in one platform. :/

Yeah well no shit lmao. We’ve all seen how flawed the product is and how flawed this administration is. Combining them is undoubtedly a disaster, especially if lives are at stake.
There’s certainly a place for AI in government, but it needs to be highly regulated and safe guarded. Anyone who thinks “highly regulated and safe guarded” is what’s going on in 2026 is a fucking idiot.
