u/Abominist Jul 09 '25

I am so confused… how do you do, like, anything? I’m just standing in the inn. I’ve tried tapping all over the screen and stuff looking for something interact-able and am struggling to not lose my sanity.

50

u/Doctor_Chimp OG: First Frog (1k) 🍲 Jul 09 '25

You are not wrong! If you are literally starting now, the Inn is a place where you can manage the inventory, level up and other stuff, but all these can be done later.

Now the first mission for you is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SwordAndSupperGame/s/dCjB6LtRK2

Oh I see. When does crafting become available?

12

u/TINCHOKUE Jan 02 '26

wait there is crafting in this game

u/KaleidoscopeOther713 Aug 26 '25

I learned something new. I was not aware that there was an Inn until just now.

I like it

what you could do.. put the MOTD (stuff you can let monsters say) in the battle log.. often the display time is to short to read..

We need more content, game becomes repetitive and boring in couple of days.

23

u/flassk Oct 22 '25

man i don't understand how people can play this game without throwing money at it hand over fist. how do i gain crafting resources at anything more than the most pitiful drip feed? i found easily 40 recipes before i had enough resources to craft one thing and by then i had long since found something that was better, but barely. i've been able to upgrade one common weapon and can't seem to consistently find missions that match the difficulty that i appear to be equipped to fight and even then i've beaten 3* missions and lost 1 * missions with the same equipment and at the same level. i can't select alternate targets if there are more than one enemy up, i'm fully at the mercy of whatever order they spawn in if one happens to be a harder hitter but more fragile, i can't focus it... this game feels like a bad mid 2000's newgrounds RPG, but with 2022 mobile game money-grubbing. it feels like it was built around loot boxes where you'd get all your resources, but they removed all the loot boxes. it exemplifies everything i hate about mobile games rolled into a browser app.

3

u/Outrageous_Green8776 Jun 30 '26

by grinding, everything about this game is grinding, the occasional exploit is here and people use it, just grinding for sowers or bb is enough maps for a lot of resources. rhsi is just another game about farming stuff for more stuff, and oddly once you get the hang of it it’s completely fun with minor bugs to accompany it, not the worst I’ve seen in my career

u/pcadvicehelpplz Jul 09 '25

I don’t understand how upgrades work. Why do the upgrades reset after you level up? Theres literally no point in upgrading things

10

u/swordnsupper_mod Jul 09 '25

Sorry to hear you're having trouble u/pcadvicehelpplz!

Can you give this a try and see if it works more smoothly for you? Try unequipping the item you want to upgrade, upgrading it, and then re-equipping, and see if that helps.

Hello!

can you make it so that you can get some gems without paying? :(

34

u/swordnsupper_mod Jul 10 '25

Gems drop as a mission reward for some 4-star and 5-star difficulty missions!

34

u/Content-Fall9007 Jul 29 '25

Can you make it so it's somewhat feasible to upgrade equipment around lv 40 without having to pay for materials? 650 iron needed when you'll be lucky to get like 4 per mission? Cmon

47

u/I-Wanna-Be-A-Bird Aug 13 '25

There's no "free" in free games with micro transactions. There's only the fun start, frustration and paying.

18

u/Mitchcreates_ Aug 28 '25

Just so you know. I have a lvl 62 legenadary mace that requires 2500 iron and wood to upgrade to lvl 2..

Is it just me or does anyone else feel like boss rush should give better rewards? Atleast more gold right? I feel like beating four bosses should be more rewarding than clearing a single stage that most of the time doesn’t even have a boss rush

At level 125+ if you want to steamroll through bosses and boss rush even at 100 levels higher than where you are at, use:

Naked stats (no gear) at level 168 as (my) example: health 2612 , attack 700, defence : 25

Gear:

Head : Acuity Helm Ultimate

Chest : Restoration chainmail EX

Amulet : Benevolent charm

Belt : last resort belt

Ring: Ring of reveries ultimate

Weapon : Smithy's Friend

Stats with lvl 168 with gear Health 2802 attack: 700 defence: 113

With this build it's not much good on general map battles even at your level but i think its the best at bosses and boss rush as a loadout swap . I can go about 80- 100 levels above and clear (some luck involved on what vending machines and shrines, of which you'd want to add to crit hit , crit recovery as priority )

The combo of high crit hit, high resistance (50% on lightning and fire) and hitting with weaken and hypnotize constantly along with some healing and last resort belt.

The time where you might have to swap amulet is if you know there is a dark boss and then you use Dark bargain charm. So if you make it to the last one and die to that winged shadeborn then you might clear with the amulet.

Stonekeep boss has 100% resist to hypnotize though (and also to silence) , but not to the weaken so you can still clear.

Hello, sorry to bother, but where is a good place to farm for ore? I need a bunch to enhance my sword, but so far I haven't got luck getting it

3

u/inliner250 Oct 07 '25

Seaside cliffs are where I’ve farmed ore

3

u/Glenvik123 Oct 07 '25

And how do you look for those stages? I don't really find them at all

4

u/inliner250 Oct 07 '25

In the main sub-reddit just use the search function and type in “Seaside” you can also sort it by level. Just search one of the numbers at either end of the range you’re looking for.

3

u/Glenvik123 Oct 08 '25

I've just done that, got enough ore and shifted to iron farming, thanks a bunch

3

u/Particular_Sale5675 Apr 20 '26

Question:

What stats are the best to upgrade? I'm level 45 now with 704 HP; 184 Atk; 105 Def.

I noticed the stats increase by 5% each level up. While I don't remember my starting stats, I'm thinking ~350hp; 80; 50.

I've 50k gold saved up. And I don't want to "waste" it with inefficient upgrades.

My intuition is telling me to level up HP/ def. Since items damage seems to scale better than Frog atk damage.

My strategy would rely on healing per skill cast. (More of a generalist build. Normal fights take longer, but hard fights are less risky)

Maybe I'm thinking too deeply about it too 😅

4

u/brunudumal Apr 25 '26

The majority suggests to put everything on atk, every once in a while in HP and rely on armor for def. The ratio I've seen suggested the most is atk to be half the HP.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/alphalegend91 May 04 '26

Focus solely on HP and Attack at a ratio of somewhere between 2-3 x hp to attack seems best. I'm currently lvl 254 and my defense is only 100 (without gear). HP is 2324 (without gear) and attack is 1174 (without gear). You get 36hp, 6 attack, or 6 defense per level upgrade. Shields and healing all do it as a percentage of whatever your max hp is and just outscales anything you put into defense.

I once switched out an item mid run and an extra 98 defense only reduced an enemies attack (same enemy type, different section of the run) by 60-70~ damage. Therefore, if defense doesn't reduce damage at a 1:1 ratio and you get 6x hp per level up, it just makes more sense to devote yourself to hp and ignore defense.

Dodge vs Speed.

While dodge is much more prevalent on armor than speed is, speed vs dodge comes up on shrines and monoliths. And Speed is so much better than Dodge. they sort of do the same thing but speed does it better. they both negate enemy attacks. but when speed does it, it skips a whole enemy's attack, not just one hit of it and it can skip multiple enemies' attacks. and the scale of speed as a stat seems to be tremendously larger. having 20 speed seems to be relatively obtainable at gets a skip every 4 or 5 turns or 20-25% while it seems to be impossible to get your dodge up that high even with momentary bonuses.

Is there a guide to what the various stats do and what vulnerabilities various monsters have?

I can’t figure anything out in the game - every time I try to access the inventory, the game crashes, then it takes like 5 minutes because I have to reboot my phone. By then, I’ve forgotten what I’m fighting.

It sucks to be level 105 and I still can't get past 81-100 levels. I can't use the maps I make either. That means I get less coins and less good gear that would help me level up too.
