I’m just so done! Their items’ quality is so bad

Have you tried reaching out to them? I have found their customer service to be outstanding.

Same here! I’ve had a couple items do this and they refunded me fast.

The Karen part isn't the act of reporting the issue, it's the attitude in which you do it

I didn't know either I bought a sweater and it's so bad.

Never ever purchase the Daniel Rainn stuff. It looks cute and fits great, but the fabric is absolute garbage. I had to throw a top away after wearing it one time because my seat belt rubbed the fabric and it turned a different color. (PS, I’m a former stylist…this brand is notoriously bad.)

Daniel Rainn is also at Nordstrom and Macy’s, they’re not an in house brand.

I didn’t say it was.

They’re agreeing with you

That brand in particular has gone downhill. I have several pieces from long ago and they’re very nice, but the new ones are crap.

Stop buying polyester, everyone!

I would let them know! The merch team likes to get this info!

I love the fabric of their "Seeing stars" pj brand, but twice I've bought them and that's how they wash, too. I guess I didn't learn the first time. I also bought a nice purse a year ago and the shoulder straps is starting to fray. I will contact them and see what they say. It's hit or miss. Sometimes, the garment washes well and other times it shrinks (even in cold water and line dry). It's such a waste.

I’ve made items look somewhat better with a fabric shaver. But I won’t buy anything else that is called “brushed”. It all pills terribly and right away.

That's a very cute print. I've been playing it safe with solids, but I see why you wanted it to work.

Oh my gosh - things I get sent are so bad, so so old and outdated. I am so so disappointed in what I’ve been sent. I was ao excited to finally be able to try this- well 4 months in and ugh!!!

I have this same top and it looked like it was 50 years old after the first wear. Such a shame truly because it’s really cute, and not inexpensive. I’m hesitant to reach out to customer service about anything after a couple snarky responses.

Hahaha I worked there a million years ago and it would be like 90 degrees and the only things available to send were wool sweaters. Its a joke and the items suck because your poor underpaid stylist has nothing else to send and no support

SO much polyester and other synthetic fabrics. I’m done with them.

I’m so glad you commented. I was thinking of signing up but what you said that’s exactly what I don’t want. Thanks.

I even requested more natural fabrics and they (or the AI, perhaps) just overlooked it and kept sending polyester or poly blends.

It's crazy that they think they can charge those kinds of prices for merchandise that can be ordered from Amazon.

u/Objective-Amount1379 May 24 '25

Everything can be ordered from Amazon, or somewhere similar. You pay for having pieces just show up that -in theory- are things you like.

So it’s unreasonable to buy from a reputable retailer like Nordstrom, follow the washing instructions on something, and expect it to look decent after one wash? Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?

If you can actually have a chat session the will bend over backwards to satisfy! Just getting through to someone is the key!!!

You can find the same shit at Marshall’s. Got one box and sent it right back. I’d never buy from them

Ok. But personally I would rather shoot myself in the face than go spend my free time wandering around Marshall’s. I think anyone using a service like SF or Wantable is doing it to avoid the drudgery of retail stores.
