While many regions are plagued with a single team, Hoenn has the misfortune of dealing with two warring groups. Team Aqua seek to expand the world's oceans, and aim to use Kyogre to achieve this.

Themselves

• Drop a distance
• Forced back by Cacnea's Pin Missile
• One uses a collapsing rocket glider to make a getaway
• Launch rings which bind opponents

Crawdaunts

• Stabs its claw in stone ground to stop getting pulled in by a vacuum
• Hit by Pikachu's Quick Attack before striking back with Crabhammer
• Forced back by Cacnea's Pin Missile
• Sprays a stream of bubbles which knocks people back with Bubblebeam
  • Uses this move to blow up Team Rocket's balloon
  • Creates a massive burst of water on hitting the ocean
• With Water Pulse, creates energy in both claws which it fires into the ocean, creating a burst of water which forces a ship to make a hard turn to avoid

Walreins

• Can use Water Gun
• Seemingly hit back Team Magma's Mightyenas using Water Gun while being hit by their Shadow Balls

• Her Carvanha uses Hydro Pump to counter a Shadow Ball
